What's good

Our verdict
CPSC's advice for generator season is a battery-operated or battery-backup CO alarm on every level of the home and outside sleeping areas, tested monthly. This one needs nothing from the grid for ten years, and the ppm display turns a vague headache into a number you can act on. It is a backstop, not permission: the generator still goes outside, at least 20 feet from the house, exhaust pointed away.
