What's good

  • Dynamic load management and solar-surplus charging are published, supported features
  • OCPP compliance keeps it usable outside Wallbox's own app
  • One of the smallest 48 A enclosures sold

What's not

  • Power Boost needs the separately sold power meter
  • Bluetooth-first setup flow trips some users before Wi-Fi is configured

Our verdict

Wallbox and Emporia are the two with a real answer for tight panels. Wallbox's version is more configurable and OCPP-open; Emporia's is cheaper and ties into whole-home monitoring. Either beats a four-figure service upgrade.
